Education Support

We find out the students who need the financial support for their education through our moderators of MANAVURU and from the other source. The requests will be funded based on their financial back ground and the student's performace.

The requests will be communicated to our MANAVURU corodinators which will be publised with in their groups to raise the funds. Along with the internal communication we contact other trusts, industrialists, cine actors and other groups.

MANAVURU designed an (IFSP) Instant Financial Support Program. We support the students who require financial aid without which they might loose their acedemic year. Once the recipient completes the studies and take up any job, they have to donate the amount through MANAVURU on behalf of his/her Donor. If the Donor is willing to support any other good cause, those funds will be redirected.

To improve the relationship between the donar and students, MANAVURU updates the performace the donars quarterly. This is make sure that the donor does not feel that the funds are misused and the recipient gets motivation to perform well.

MANAVURU aim to adopt 1000 students in next 10years.

Water Support

India is the secound most populated country in the world.

Most water sources are contaminated by sewage and agricultural runoff. Though India has made progress in the supply of safe water to its peopl, the lack of insight on the usage of these resources exists in rural areas across the country. Although access to drinking water has improved, the World Bank estimates that 21% of communicable diseases in India are related to unsafe water. In India, diarrhea alone causes more than 1,600 deaths. Hygiene practices continue to be a problem in most of the places in India.

In the state of Andhra Pradesh the challenge is to assist the state in its efforts to improve its water resources. An emerging global software center, Andhra Pradesh has to develop a stratergy in usage, reallocation and awarness to the people living in rural areas.

By the year 2020, more people will have died of unsafe drinking water than of AIDS. Unless something changes dramatically.

MANAVURU's steps to reduce the water contaminated diseases.

We are in co-ordination with Water health India to set up purified water plants. A normal one liter purified/mineral water costs Rs.15/-(INR) in the market. We deliver the same quantity for as less as Rs.1/-(INR) to the people.

MANAVURU established, 8 water support plants at diffrent rural locations of Pedanandipadu Mandal in Guntur district.

MANAVURU performs awareness campaigns on how to improve the hygenic conditions and on how to reduce the contamination.

Livelihood Support

Through collaboration based on friends, well wishers and volunteers across the state of Andhra Pradesh, MANAVURU have the opportunity to strengthen ties in the rural areas to improve the standards of living and to teach them different ways of earning the livelihood when the conditions does not support for Agricultural.

MANAVURU is dedicated in preparing volunteers to be culturally sensitive and educated about the diffrent ways to earn the livelihood instead of depending only on the single source of income. MANAVURU believes that if the women in the house earns along with the men, the families will not face any financial trouble.

All the efforts are made to encourage the people to come up with ideas on earning other than depending only on the traditional ways of earing. MANAVURU also helps them to get the approvals and other permissions from the local authourities if required.

We have identified 500 women who have basic education and they are being trained to handle the basic activites related to BPO. A modern building worth of eighteen lakhs is constructed for training and operations. This was appriciated by Byrraju Foundation.

Tailoring, painting, sewing, embriodery, Food item preparation and packing are the other activites which the villagers particiapte. well, the above are mostly done by women. Unemployed men are identifed and posted as security guards, accounts, helpers, skilled construction resources and drivers depending on their eligibility and the available requirements.

Infrastructure Support

As this is a huge area to be worked, MHO identifys the roads and ways which needs to be repaired/laid and provides the information to the Donors, NGOs and the governament officials on the bugget in whcih it can be completed. Once they approve we try to gather resources who needs employement and pay them for the work done with the donations we gather.

MHO announces the day the roads will be reapired, so that the people who are intersted in helping the village's development but can not afford to donate will come forward and help as much as they can.

Hundreds of villages, small towns and areas of cities lack even basic infrastructure required for healthy habitation of people. Manavuru Charitable Organisation is working to understand solutions to these problems. If you have experience in finding viable solutions to these complex problems, we kindly request you to contact Manavuru Charitable Organisation to volunteer your time and knowledge.

MANAVURU thanks all the voulnteers who have helped us in making things possible.

Sanitation Support

Sanitation in India continue to be incomplete, despite the efforts put in by various levels of government and communities. The inadequecy for sanitation, is due to the access people have to improved sanitation facilities. The share of those with access to an improved water source is much higher than for sanitation (86%), the quality of service is poor and most users that are counted as having access receive water of dubious quality and only on an intermittent basis. As of 2003, it was estimated that only 30% of India's wastewater was being treated, with the remainder flowing into rivers or groundwater. The lack of toilet facilities in many areas also presents a major health risk; open defecation is widespread even in urban areas of India, and it was estimated in 2002 by the World Health Organisation that around 700,000 Indians die each year from diarrhoea.

  • MHO's motto is to make every family available with proper sanitation.
  • Creating awareness on the issues caused due to open defecation and to use the private toilets.

Awarenes Support- RTI

Under the Act, all authorities covered must appoint their Public Information Officer (PIO). Any person may submit a request to the PIO for information in writing. It is the PIO's obligation to provide information to citizens of India who request information under the Act. If the request pertains to another public authority (in whole or part) it is the PIO's responsibility to transfer/forward the concerned portions of the request to a PIO of the other within 5 days. In addition, every public authority is required to designate Assistant Public Information Officers (APIOs) to receive RTI requests and appeals for forwarding to the PIOs of their public authority. The citizen making the request is not obliged to disclose any information except his name and contact particulars.

The Act specifies time limits for replying to the request...

If the request has been made to the PIO, the reply is to be given within 30 days of receipt.

If the request has been made to an APIO, the reply is to be given within 35 days of receipt.

If the PIO transfers the request to another public authority (better concerned with the information requested), the time allowed to reply is 30 days but computed from the day after it is received by the PIO of the transferee authority.

Information concerning corruption and Human Rights violations by scheduled Security agencies (those listed in the Second Schedule to the Act) is to be provided within 45 days but with the prior approval of the Central Information Commission.

However, if life or liberty of any person is involved, the PIO is expected to reply within 48 hours.

Since the information is to be paid for, the reply of the PIO is necessarily limited to either denying the request (in whole or part) and/or providing a computation of "further fees". The time between the reply of the PIO and the time taken to deposit the further fees for information is excluded from the time allowed.

If information is not provided within this period, it is treated as deemed refusal. Refusal with or without reasons may be ground for appeal or complaint. Further, information not provided in the times prescribed is to be provided free of charge.

For Central Departments as of 2008 there is a fee of Rs. 10 for filing the request, Rs. 2 per page of information and Rs. 5 for each hour of inspection after the first hour. If the applicant is a Below Poverty Card holder, then no fee shall apply. Such BPL Card holders have to provide a copy of their BPL card along with their application to the Public Authority. States Government and High Courts fix their own rules.
