Drinking Water--The elixier of Life.
India is the secound most populated country in the world.
Most water sources are contaminated by sewage and agricultural runoff. Though India has made progress in the supply of safe water to its peopl, the lack of insight on the usage of these resources exists in rural areas across the country. Although access to drinking water has improved, the World Bank estimates that 21% of communicable diseases in India are related to unsafe water. In India, diarrhea alone causes more than 1,600 deaths. Hygiene practices continue to be a problem in most of the places in India.
In the state of Andhra Pradesh the challenge is to assist the state in its efforts to improve its water resources. An emerging global software center, Andhra Pradesh has to develop a stratergy in usage, reallocation and awarness to the people living in rural areas.
By the year 2020, more people will have died of unsafe drinking water than of AIDS. Unless something changes dramatically.
MANAVURU's steps to reduce the water contaminated diseases.
We are in co-ordination with Water health India to set up purified water plants. A normal one liter purified/mineral water costs Rs.15/-(INR) in the market. We deliver the same quantity for as less as Rs.1/-(INR) to the people.
MANAVURU established, 8 water support plants at diffrent rural locations of Pedanandipadu Mandal in Guntur district.
MANAVURU performs awareness campaigns on how to improve the hygenic conditions and on how to reduce the contamination.
